Anaces Co-founder awarded the Michael Wagner Educational Technology Award

LEXINGTON, Mass. - April 11 - Anaces, Inc. Co-founder David A. Colarusso has been awarded the 2004-2005 Michael Wagner Educational Technology Award for Teacher Recognition. The award was presented to Colarusso at the April 11th Lexington Town Meeting.

The Wagner award is meant to "recognize and honor a Lexington teacher who has made an outstanding contribution to ensure that technology supports the teaching and learning of Lexington students." The award was set up as a public trust in memory of Michael Wangner, parent, teacher, and behavioral scientist.

The award letter acknowledged Mr. Colarusso's development and implementation of "outstanding technology-enriched lessons to support the science curriculum." Also cited was his role in the development of the Anaces system currently used by the high school to manage attendance issues.

Anaces, Inc. is a privately held corporation founded by David A. Colarusso, a high school teacher, and Joshua J. Estelle, a computer scientist. Anaces aims to provide elegant easy-to-use information management solutions to educators, freeing their time to better serve our children.
